A stableford event was played last Saturday with Keith and Helen Jones providing the sponsorship on the day, thanks to Jones for the day. The day also saw a new step in the current protocols with the clubhouse being open, although under required conditions.
The competition results favoured several new arrivals at the club with Bruce Green and Nathan Stibbard returning equal points, 39 for the round. A countback gave the win to Bruce with Nathan settling for runner up.
The men’s run down was awarded to David Burgess (38), Brady Morant (38) Keith Barnett (36) and Alan Kerr (36).
The ladies’ event was won by Sandra Morris with a score of 35 points. A front nine of 17 points and 18 points home for the total and could have been even more with one washed hole. Second place was decided after a countback with three players scoring 33 points. Racheal Hendry claimed the prize with Trish Fittock and Linda Kelly featuring in the run down.
Next Saturday is a stableford event and with the clubhouse being open, a convenient nine hole stop for refreshments will be appreciated, however players will need to arrange this prior to play. Follow the usual procedure for securing your tee time by entering names on the time sheet, ring or e-mail as well.
