A good field of 44 golfers set out to compete in the Single Stableford event on Saturday the 18^th October under beautiful blue skies and warm temperatures. Potential forecasted storms never eventuated and play continued uninterrupted. The course has really dried out and there is plenty of run at the moment and these conditions helped to produce some excellent scores. The event was generously sponsored by Stanthorpe Quality Meats, and we thank them for their continued support. The men’s winner was Zac Hendry who won with a great score of 39 points. Keeping it in the family was runner up Chook Hendry who came second on a countback from Greg Fraser also with great scores of 38 points.

Men’s pin shots went to Scott Constable on 3, Barry Jones on 12 and Rick Goodrich on 17. Some great approaches were won by Phil Hawtin (1/10), Jason Bacon (5/14) and Scott Constable on (9/18).

In a closely contested Ladies event first place went to Neta Thouard on 39 points followed by Nikki Waterworth on 38 points. Ladies pin shots were won by Neta on 12 and Lisa Stuart on 17. Our winner and runner up had a great day out also winning approach shots on 2/11 (Nikki) and 7/16 Neta).

Congratulations to all our winners and to everyone who took part in the day. Next weekend is the Stanthorpe Open with a 4BBB on Saturday and a Single Stroke for the men and a Single Stableford for the Ladies on Sunday respectively.
