A good field of 44 golfers set out to compete in the Monthly Medal on Saturday the 11 th October under beautiful blue skies and warm temperatures. The course has really dried out and there is plenty of run at the moment. These conditions led to some excellent scores. The event was generously sponsored by Pursehouse Rural, and we thank them for their continued support. The men’s winner was Rodney Paye who won on a countback from Barry Jones. These morning players both returned excellent scores of 64 nett. Also, on a great score of 68 nett was Lachlan Hendry who came in third. Lachlan also took out the putting competition with an incredible 22 putts. Best gross score was Matt Waterworth with an excellent 73.

Men’s pin shots went to Michael O’Brien on 3, Brad Silver on 12 and Lyndon Cullen on 17. Somegreat approaches were won by Casey Leotta (1/10), Scott Constable (5/14) and Nathan Stibbard on (9/18).

In a closely contested Ladies event the Medal was won by Lynette Ludlow on 65 nett followed by Deb Joyce on 66 nett. Ladies best gross was won by Lisa Stuart who had a good round of 90. Ladies pin shots were won by Sandra Ellis on 3, Mandy Benussi on 12 and Lisa Stuart on 17. Mandy had a great day out also winning approach shots on 2/11 and 7/16 and Lynette had a great day on the greens, winning the putting competition with an excellent 26 putts.
