Results May 10th, 2025

Stanthorpe Golf Club men and ladies played a stroke event for the monthly medal on Saturday the 10th of May. There was extra importance on his game as it was also the first round of the Club Championships. The sponsor for the day was Steve and Donna Bishop from the mobile golf shop and the club very much appreciate their support. It was a pretty ordinary day with lots of cold wind punctuated by intermittent showers making good scoring difficult. Everyone was glad that the fireplace was lit in the clubhouse after the game.

The best gross score of 77 was won by Dave Burgess on a countback from Scott Constable. The monthly medal winner was Chook Hendry with 69 nett on a countback from Mike Middleton and Michael Dufton. Chooks been in good form of late and is currently leading C grade in the championships.

Pin shots went to Mike Middleton, Rino Piovesan and Nathan Stibbard on holes 3,

12 and 17 respectively. Approach shots went to Brendon Barker (1/10), Brad Silver (5/14) and Michael O’Brien (9/18). Richie Reardon must have been chipping well as he picked up the least putts prize with just 24.

The ladies best gross was Nikki Waterworth with a score of 91. Nikki also won the best nett with 71 followed by Helen Jones and Lorraine Evans. Nikki had a great day with winning the pin shot on the 12th and had the least putts. Also winning pin shots was Sandra Ellis on 17, Neta Thouard (2/11) and Filomena Silver on 7/16.
