Results 9th Aug, 2025

A small field of 33 brave golfers set out to compete in a Single Stableford event on Saturday 9^th August in very difficult conditions. The course is still very wet underfoot so there is not a lot of run at the moment and with the very blustery conditions the course played quite long. The event was generously sponsored by the Brass Monkey Brewery, and we thank them for their sponsorship. Some visitors from the Gailes Golf Club enjoyed the course and produced a winner with Cam Hudson scoring 36 points. Coming in second on 32 points was local Matt Waterworth.

Men’s pin shots went to Gailes young gun Anthony Trimboli on 3 and Zac Hendry on 12. No one managed to claim the pin shot on 17. Approach shots were won by Matt Waterworth (1/10, 5/14) and David Burgess (9/18).

The conditions must have also suited Lisa Stuart who won the ladies event with a score of 32 points with Nikki Waterworth coming in second on a countback from Helen Jones. Nikki also claimed the ladies pin shot on 12 while Lisa claimed the 17^th and the approach shot on the 7/16. Filomena Silver collected the approach shot on 2/11.
