On a beautiful highland day, a good field of Golfers assembled ... ‘So, all the cracks (golfers) had gathered to the fray.’ (Banjo Patterson). The day was sponsored by our very own and loved Wesley Smith. Some golfers were hoping that the first prize would be a beautiful new house – dream on. Congratulations to the Lady winners on the Wes Smith Building, stroke and monthly medal competition: Helen Jones, Loraine Evans on a count back from Lynette Ludlow. Pin Shots went to Lynette Ludlow, Helen Jones, Lorraine Evans and Linda Kelly.

Congratulations to the Gentlemen winners: Keith Jones, Ted Bobby and Bruce Green, all on a net of 68. Impressive. The Pin Shots went to Barry Jones, Chris Binge, Mat Waterworth, Mark McCosker Mark Hendry and Alan Accurate Kerr.

Missing from the Day’s Play was our beloved Captain and his wife and our beloved President. They were doing battle at the Darling Downs Golf Association, Committee Member’s Challenge being held in Crows Nest. Next Saturday the 14th will be sponsored by the famous golfing duo, Matt and Nikki Waterworth.
