A good field of 44 golfers set out to compete in the Monthly Medal on Saturday the 6^{th of} September. While the course is starting to at last dry out a bit the weather was pretty ordinary with a cold wind blowing. While it was nice when the sun was shining the cloud cover made it quite cold. The event was generously sponsored by 4 Water Supplies, and we thank them for their sponsorship. Barry Hughes had a great day and returned a 69 nett to win the September Medal. Junior golfer Jack Parker is in good form and came in second place on a countback from Brad Silver with a score of 71 nett. The putting competition was won by Mark McCosker with a very impressive 25 putts.

Men’s pin shots went to Max Hunter on 3 and Rick Goodrich on 12 and Darrell Boekholt on 17. Some great approaches were won by Brendon Barker (1/10), Rick Goodrich (5/14) and Lachlan Hendry on (9/18).

In a closely contested Ladies event the Medal was won by Lisa Stuart on 75 nett followed by Deb Joyce on 76 nett. Ladies pin shots were won by Lisa Stuart on 17 who also picked up the 2/11 approach shot. Linda Kelly claimed the approach shot on 7/16. Lisa and Linda shared the Least Putts prize with each having 30 putts.
