A good field of players set out to vie for the Dale Mullens trophy and the July Monthly Medal on Saturday the 5 th of July. It was a lovely day with a cool southerly blowing and with the course in great condition low scores were expected. Being a monthly medal testing pin positions were also expected, and players were not disappointed with the greens being very fast.

The event was generously sponsored by Michael Thompson who shared fond memories of Dale Mullens. Michael sponsored pin shots on every hole and also offered a hole in one prize of a $1500 garage floor resurfacing. The

hole in one prize proved to be safe on this day and we thank Michael for his support. The conditions suited Scott Constable who easily won the Dale Mullens trophy by 10 shots with an excellent par round 72 off the stick. The Monthly Medal was won by Jarrod Irwin with a great score of 71 nett with the runner up prize going to Scott Constable on a count back. Well done to you both. Least number of putts was shared by Richie Reardon and Brad Silver with 28 putts. Men’s pin shots went to Richie Reardon on 3 and 12 and Scott Constable on 17. Approach shots were won by Tod Beckett (1/10, 11 & 13), Richie Reardon (2, 5/14), Matt Waterworth (4 & 6), Scott Constable (7 & 8), Mark McCosker (9/18) and Barry Jones (15).

The ladies' event was won by Helen Jones with a score of 78 nett followed by Nikki Waterworth who came second on a countback from Filomena Silver after chipping in for a birdie on the 18 th hole!

Ladies pin shots were won by Linda Kelly on 12 and Lisa Stuart on 17. Approach shots were collected by Lorraine Evans and Lisa Stuart on 2/11 and 7/16 respectively.
