Results 30th Aug, 2025

A small field of 33 diehard golfers set out in rather difficult conditions to compete in a mixed 4BBB event on Saturday 30th August. While the course is starting to at last dry out a bit in the south westerly was blowing around 40 km/hr and making conditions very difficult. It’s somewhat disconcerting when your golf ball is wobbling about on the tee when you are about to hit it!

The event was generously sponsored by member Michael “Plucka” Thompson and we thank Michael for his sponsorship. Wes Smith continued with his good form and paired up with Ivan Juriss to win the day on a countback with 44 points. Coming in a very strong second place was morning golfers Rod Paye and Karl Braund also with 44 points.

Men’s pin shots went to Ivan on 3 and Matt Waterworth on 12. No one managed to land on 17 in the windy conditions. Some great approaches were won by Len Leigh (1/10) and Michael Thompson (5/14) and Ivan on (9/18).

Ladies pin shots were won by Lynette Ludlow on 12 and Filomena Silver on 17 while Lisa Stuart and Linda Kelly claimed the approach shots on 2/11 and 7/16 respectively.

Congratulations to all our winners and to everyone who took part in the day. Next Saturday’s event is the September Monthly Medal.
