A happy day of Golf in brilliant Stanthorpe (and Scottish) weather.  There’s nothing quite like a chill breeze to clear the head and focus on the golf ball through teary eyes.  The Day’s Play was a Four Ball Best Ball sponsored by two of our favourite members and nature’s gentlemen, Johnny ‘Be-good’ Green and Brendan ‘McSporran’ McMillan.  Congratulations to two legends (in their own lunch box), Ivan Juriss and Wesley Smith on a very healthy 45 Stableford points.  On the day Ivan could putt with his eyes closed.  Congratulations to the runner up duo of Sam Dowie and Lochlan Hendry on 43 points.  They won on a count-back from Max Hunter and Mike Middleton.

Pin Shots.  Well done, Ladies; Laraine Gurnett (2/11), Nikki Waterworth (7/16 and 12), Trish Fittock (17).  Men’s pin shots went to Brendan Barker (1/10), Mike Middleton (9/18), Scott Constable (3 & 12), Rino Piovesan (17) and Phil Mihulka (5). 

Next Saturday is a single stroke game sponsored by that kilometre driving Gary Kirby and Andersen’s Carpets.  And our own ever smiling Neta Thouard will sponsor the ‘Ladies Molly Pratt Qualifier.’
