Well, it’s that time of the year again when things get a little crazy and out on the Stanthorpe golf course it’s no different. Thanks to our generous sponsors, Brendon Barker, Jason Bacon and Nigel Eldridge 56 golfers were subjected to golf with a twist. Playing a 2 ball Ambrose on the front nine and an alternate shot on the back nine was interesting enough but then we had to putt around obstacles on the green, hit onto a green with 2 pins, one with no pin and one with the pin off the back!

Then our playing markers could tell us which shot to play during the Ambrose and which hole to putt to on the green with 2 pins. Thanks indeed guys for such a fun day of golf! In the end everyone enjoyed themselves, the weather held off (mostly) and it was a good lead into our Christmas party that night.

In a closely fought contest our winners for the front 9 Ambrose were Scott Constable and Ron Batterham with an excellent score of 31.9. Runners up were Chook Hendry and Eric Ree with 32.1.

The alternate shot back 9 was won by Kaine Doorley and Jack Parker with a great score of 33.6 and they were followed by Lisa Stuart and Deb Joyce who shot a 36.5.

Men’s pin shots were won by Greg Fraser on 3 and Scott Constable on 12 while no one claimed the 17th pin the prize went into a lucky draw. The ladies pin shots were collected by Neta Thouard on 3 and Lynette Ludlow on 12 and 17. Accuracy drives were one by Alan Bignell and Lisa Stuart. Long drives were won by Jacob Steele with a massive bomb on the 18th and Nikki Waterworth also with an

impressive drive on the 18th.

Congratulations to all our winners and to everyone who took participated in the day. Next weekend is a monthly medal sponsored by members Santo Cavallaro and Eric Ree.
