A strong field of golfers played in the Anzac Day 4BBB Stableford competition on Saturday the 25th of

April. The weather was cold and blustery which made the conditions for golf quite difficult. Although it was cloudy little rain eventuated and there is still plenty of run out on the course and this is inducive to good scoring. The competition was generously sponsored by the RSL Sub-branch, and we thank them for their sponsorship.

The winners for the day with an incredible score of 47 points was Phil Hawtin and Sandra Ellis.

Coming in second place with a very good 44 points was Brendon Barker and Lisa Stuart. Men’s pin shots went to Chook Hendry on 3, Eric Ree on 12 and Terry Roser on 17. Great approaches were won by Casey Leotta (1/10), John Green (5/14) and Mark Hendry (9/18). Mark also scored a fantastic eagle on the 11th hole.

Ladies Pin shots went to Lisa Stuart on 3 and 17 and Nikki Waterworth on 12. Sandra Ellis made a great approach on 2/11 as did Lorraine Evans on 7/16.

Congratulations to all our winners and to everyone who participated in the day. Next Saturday is a 4BBB with the Kilcoy boys coming to enjoy our course. On Sunday is the annual Black Toyota day 3 ball Ambrose which is another big day.
