The 4th and final round of the Club Championships were played on Sunday 24th of May under cloudy but dry conditions. Thanks to our generous 4th day sponsors Alan Kerr and Dale Minchenton and to Greg and Maria Carey who provided sponsorship for the Championship winners.
The Men’s winner for the day with a great score of 69 nett was Brad Silver who won by 2 shots over Ivan Juriss. Men’s pin shots went to Jason Lawer on 3, Brendon Barker on 12 and Phil Mihulka on 17. Men’s approaches were won by Matt Waterworth (1/10), Michael O’Brien (5/14) and Brendon Barker (9/18).
The Ladies winner was Trish Fittock with a good score of 72 nett. Trish completed a clean sweep by winning all 4 days of the Championships. Runner up was Neta Thouard on 76 nett. Ladies Pin shots went to Mandy Benussi on 12 and Lisa Stuart on 17. Nikki Waterworth claimed 2/11 and Filomena Silver picked up 7/16.
The Men’s Club Championship winner came down to a very exciting play-off hole, and the eventual winner and 2026 Club Champion is David Reeves who managed to prevail over a determined Brendon Barker. Our 2026 Ladies Club Champion is Lisa Stuart who had a close win over Nikki Waterworth.
Congratulations to all our grade and veteran winners and to everyone who participated in the days. Next Saturday is a 4BBB event which is sponsored by members John Green and Brendan McMillan.
