On Saturday the Stanthorpe members played a Mixed 4BBB for the Peirce Family Trophy. The Peirce Family have been long term supporters of Stanthorpe golf, and their trophy was keenly sort after.
Members not playing in the mixed competition also played a 4BBB with first prize sponsored by Favero Motors. Thanks to both our sponsors for the day.
The weather was perfect as was the course which was conducive to some excellent golf, and this was reflected in the scores.
The winners of the mixed competition and the Pierce Family Trophy were Lisa Stuart and Ray Thorn with a fantastic score of 47. Runners up were Neta and Viv Thouard with a score of 44.
The winner of the men’s 4BBB were Kev Rowling and Rod Werner also with a great score of 45 and on a count back from runner’s up Matt Macarthur and Rick Goodrich.
Men’s pin shots were won by Barry Jones on 3, Santo Cavallaro on 12 and Keith Jones on 17.
Approach shots were collected by Matt Waterworth on 1/10 and Scott Constable on 5/14 and 9/18.
Ladies pin shots were won by Filomena Silver on 3 and Lisa Stuart on 12. Ladies approach shots were won by Bev Page on 2/11, Lisa Stuart on 7/16 and 17.
Next week Stanthorpe golfers will be playing a 3 ball Ambrose on the front 9 and an alternate shot on the back 9.
