Saturday the 21 st of March saw a strong field of 54 members play for the second round of the Pike Trophy. The single stroke event was generously sponsored by Brad and Filomena Silver, and we thank them for their sponsorship. The course is drying out again and there is plenty of run out on the course which helped to produce some excellent scores.

The men’s winner with an amazing score of 64 nett was Lachlan Hendry. Runner up, on a countback, with a very good score of 68 nett was Ian Henderson. Men’s pin shots went to Brendon Barker on 3, Eric Ree on 12 and Lachlan Hendry on 17. Some great approaches were won by Mike Middleton (1/10), Michael O’Brien (5/14) and Matt Waterworth (9/18). Also notable from the game was the scoring of an eagle by Grant Howard on the 11th hole.

Ladies’ winner was Lorraine Evans with a great score of 73 nett who just edged out runner up Nikki Waterworth with a solid 75 nett. Pin shots went to Lorraine Evans on 12 and Nikki Waterworth on 17. Approach shots went to Helen Jones and Trish Fittock.

At the presentation Max Hunter was also presented with his Matchplay Champion shirt and his shield for winning the 2025 Captain’s Matchplay final against Darrell Boekholt in a

24-hole epic battle.
