Stanthorpe Golf Course on a winter’s afternoon has to be one of the most pleasant places to be. There is fun and friendship and a certain level of fanaticism. It's a place where golfing dreams are realised. We won’t mention the occasional golfing nightmare (poor Harry Day – he teed up on one fairway; the ball hit a juvenile sapling and his ball ended up on the tee of another fairway). However today was a double dream come true for our winner, Rick Goodrich. Rick’s double win was that of this week past he became a first time Grandfather! … and he won the golf with a very tidy 39 Stableford points.

The Sponsor for the Day was Reece Plumbing with Tom and Trish Fittock. And we thank them very much for their ongoing support. The older us gentlemen golfers get the more ‘plumbing’ is an issue. But that is not quite what Reece Plumbing is about, but we do enjoy their support.

Congratulations to the Lady Golfers; Winner was Loraine Evans on 40 well-earned stableford points. Runner Up was Lisa Stuart and the Run Downs to Helen Jones and Nikki Waterworth. Lisa Stuart was a star performer today taking out all five Pin Shots. Well done, Lisa.

Congratulations to the Men Golfers; Grandad Goodrich with Keith Jones as the Runner Up. Run Downs to Wesley Smith, Tod Beckett, Ivan Juriss and Santo Cavallaro. Pin Shots went to Ron Batterham, Phil Mihulka, Lyle Bryant, Matt Waterworth, Scott Constable and Wesley Smith.
