The end of month medley 4BBB stableford attracted a good field and ended with some close results. Matt Waterworth and Santo Cavallaro had the best in the countback to win the day, leaving Hayden Smith and Travis Burton to claim runner up. Both teams returned 46 points for their round.

Pin shots on the day were shared around. For the men, Brendon Barker held the shot at 3, Rob Reeves at 12 and Santo Cavallaro at 17. Linda Kelly had best approach for the ladies at 12 and Lyn Ludlow had best approach at 17. Matt Waterworth collected the pin shot at 1/10 and Darryl Boekholt collected the remainders at 5/14 and 9/18. The birdies nest at 16 went unclaimed.

Thanks to the sponsors of the day, Kay Webb, Linda Kelly and Margie Locke for putting on the prizes for the competition. The ladies opted to have a final prize based on a draw of the remaining cards instead of the usual run down. Lucky winners were Viv and Neta Thouard.

Good to see Bill Pyne back on the fairways after a long lay off with an injured back. It took Bill a few holes to warm up but the more holes he played the better the scores which included two birdies, first at 10 and next at 13. Club members also wish Bill a happy birthday on Monday.

Players on the day enjoyed the tasty BBQ lunch, thanks to Margaret for again doing the honours.

Next week is the July monthly medal and putting competition, another chance for players to qualify for the Medal of Medallists in November.

Sponsor for the medal day is club member Mick O'Brien. In conjunction with the medal, play also for the Dale Mullens Trophy which is being sponsored by Michael Thompson. Tee off from 11.00 am and players are asked to write their names up on the time sheet.
