Golf, ‘is a many splendid thing’.  It includes, on occasion swinging at the ball … and missing.  It’s called an ‘Air Shot’.  One need not to be embarrassed but only remember that an air shot is a ‘threatening gesture aimed at frightening the ball without actually hitting it.’  Splendid.

 The other splendid thing about Saturday were the Sponsors for the Day, Terry Roser and Ray Thorn.   Ray and Terry are ‘Gentlemen Golfers’ and much appreciated in the Club.  Thank you.

 Congratulations to the Men Golfers; Winner, Casey Leotta with 39 Stableford points off a handicap of 5 – that’s good golf! Runner Up Mark Hendry.  Run Downs to Scott Constable, Lachlan Hendry, Jarrod Irwin, Barry Hughes, Rino Piovesan and Ken Knight.  Pin Shots went to Brendon Barker (x2) Lachlan Hendry Darrell Boekholt, Jack Parker and Zac Hendry.

Next Saturday is sponsored by Michael Thompson and playing a two-ball Ambrose with each player required to take 9 tee shots.
