An individual stableford was played last Saturday with the day sponsored by Alan Kerr and Dale Minchenton. The day started off not too badly with a small amount of sunshine which disappeared as the afternoon wore on, last seen were some very cold bodies exiting the course. Winter must be not too far away.
Mark Baker avoided most of the cold and returned 36 points to claim a win on the day. Out with 18 points and the same for the trip home for his total. Three players returned scores of 35 for runner up with the count back favouring Max Hunter for the spot. Scott Constable and David Burgess settled for the run down and were joined by Andrew Burgess with a score of 34.
Trish Fittock returned to the winner’s block in the ladies' competition with a score of 32 points. Trish's front nine gave her 18 points and the cooler back nine resulted in 14 points. Another count back gave Lyn Ludlow runner up prize with Lorraine Evans taking the run down.
With recent changes to the protocols under which golf is played, there may be a possibility of aa alternate form of competition. If this eventuates, the same playing conditions would continue and players will still need to book their tee times in the usual manner.
Either visit the club, phone or e-mail to reserve your spot.
