Last Saturday’s medley 4BBB was closely contested by 25 teams competing for trophies provided by club members, Shaneen and Eric McLellan, and we thank them for their sponsorship on the day. Thanks also to Shaneen for handing out the trophies.
In the medley section of the event, Matt and Nikki Waterworth returned the best score on the day, 43 points for the round with both players being fairly even with their contribution to the score. One point back on 42 points was the team of Tom and Trish Fittock to take runner up place. A good effort from Tom who was walking wounded a week ago. He put in a very handy first 14 holes and Trish finished off with useful points in the last few holes.
Keith Allen and Mark McCosker also had a good round of 43 points to take the honours for the non-medley section on the day. A very steady round from Keith who carded 27 points for the team with Mark ensuring the scoring was maintained on the other holes. Runner up was the team of Trevor Wren and Richard Reardon with 42 points.
Matt Waterworth added to his win by collecting balls for the pin shot at 3 and the pro-pins at 1/10 and 9/18. Tom Fittock held the pin shot at 12 and Eric McLellan collected at 17. Lyn Ludlow held the ladies pin at 3, Nikki Waterworth with best approach at 12 and Fiona Kelly at 17. Scott Constable collected the remaining pin shot at 12. Mick O’Brien was successful winning the birdies nest at 11.
In the run down, a ball each to Keith and Helen Jones, Tod Beckett and Ian Henderson and Keith Green and Paul Mills.
