A single stroke for the Laurie Newley Memorial trophy was played on Saturday. Sponsored by the Newley family, the trophy is given in memory of Laurie Newley who was a greenkeeper at the club as well as a keen golfer. The Newley family have been sponsoring this event for many years and we thank them for their continued sponsorship.

Ladies Foursomes.

The rescheduled ladies club Foursomes championship event was played last Sunday, after being deferred because of the fire earlier in the month.

In a very competitive event, the team of Margie Locke and Neta Thouard combined well and returned the lowest score of 152 for the 27 hole event and will have their names engraved on the trophy.

Ron and Annelle Batterham, sponsors of the men’s nett Foursomes, also sponsored the ladies’ nett Foursomes winners, the award going to the team of Kay Webb and Linda Kelly.

Congratulations to the winners and all who played in the event.
