The single stableford event held last Saturday resulted in a narrow win for Travis Burton from a fast finishing Brady Morant. Travis led on the outward nine to record 22 points, the back nine not quite as good but a respectable 19 points for his total of 41 for the round. Brady's front nine was not as good, 17 points which included a couple of washes. His back nine was much better, the first five yielding 18 points. A couple of tough holes for the next two for two points before bouncing back with 3 points on the last hole for 23 points on the nine. However, he came up one point short of equaling the winner's score.


The ladies event resulted in Nikki Waterworth claiming another win (two in two weeks with scores of 40 or more) with a returned score of 40 points. Nikki's front nine finished with 21 points on the card and with another 19 points back for a her total. Three points back on 37 points was Lyn Ludlow for runner up.


Sponsor for the day was club member, Ian Pickering, and appreciation to Ian for supplying the trophies for the day.


Men's pin shots went to Keith Green at 3, Len Leigh at 12 and Aaron Simmers at 17. Kay Webb held the ladies pin at 3 and ladies' winner, Nikki, had best approaces at both 12 and 17. Pro-pins were won by Steven Kay at 1/10, Richard Reardon at 5/14 and Nikki Waterworth at 9/18.


In the run down, a ball to Ricky Chapman (38), Keith Jones (37), Greg Frase (37), Reno Piovesan (36) and Keith Green (36). Ladies run down to Trish Fittock (36) and Lorraine Evans(34).


Next Saturday is a single stroke sponsored by Max Hunter. Tee off from the usual time of 11.00 am and the time sheet is on the board at the clubhouse.
