Saturday’s Golf (15.2.25) was an exciting day with hot competition and a
really quirky moment! The Day’s sponsor was Hello World. We are very
grateful to Hello World for their support of the club. At the
Presentation there was a show of hands of those who had travelled using
Hello World and the show of support was quite impressive.
Ladies Results: Congratulations to Mandy Benussi and Lynette Ludlow
winning first and second, with run downs to Trish Fittock and Lorraine
Evans. Nearest the Pins to Trish Fittock and Lynette Ludlow and the 7th
pin shot went to Lynette Ludlow as well. Then came the quirky moment.
Lynette was about to claim the pin shot for the 2nd / 11th when Nathan
Stibbard rolled his ball in closer, declared himself a female at that
moment and claimed the shot and the prize and then flipped back to the
very ‘Ocker’ male that he normally is. What could possibly be wrong
with that? At the prize presentation, Nathan generously acquiesced and
gave the prize to Lynette.
Results of Men who are always men: The competition was really hot with
the first three scores level on a very impressive 40 Stableford points.
The cruel count-back computer crunched and macheted its way through the
score card and Richard Reardon won with Greg Fraser and Matt Macarthur
languishing in the background. Well, done Richard – deserved winner …
kind of. Run Downs then went to Matt Macarthur, Mark Richards, Darrell
Boelkholt, Barry Hughes all on an impressive 39 points but no cigar.
Pins and Nearest the Pin (2nd shot) to Ivan Juris, Keith Jones, Darrell
Boelkholt, Richard Reardon and Alan Accurate Kerr with two pins.
Next Saturday is a sponsored by Crisps Coaches and is a 4BBB. The
Member’s Draw next week is up to $260. You have to be there to win.
