On Saturday the 14th of March a good field of 52 members played in the March Monthly Medal which was also the first round of the Pike Trophy. The single stroke event was generously sponsored by Tod Beckett Pest Control, and we thank them for their sponsorship. Despite the difficult, windy conditions some great scores were returned.

The men’s winner with a great score of 68 nett was Wes Smith who won on a countback from

runner-up Rod Werner. Best gross score went to Scott Constable with an impressive 74 and least putts was shared by Max Hunter and Brad Silver who both had 26 putts. Men’s pin shots went to Rod Paye on 3, Tod Beckett on 12 and Mark McCosker on 17. Some great approaches were won by Tod Beckett (5/14) and David Reeves (9/18). Also notable from the game was the scoring of 3 eagles for the day. Brendan McMillan and Alex Smithers scored theirs on the par 5 11th hole while young

Jack Parker holed out his second shot on the 8th for his first eagle. Well, done guys.

Ladies' winner was Nikki Waterworth who returned an excellent score of 69 nett. Nikki had a day out also picking up best gross (87), least putts (29), pin shot on the 3 rd and an approach shot on 7/16.

Runner-up was Trish Fittock with a solid 71 nett. Other pin shots went to Lorraine Evans on 12 and Lisa Stuart on 17. The other approach shot went to Trish Fittock on 2/11.
