Results 12th July, 2025

A good field of players set out to compete in a Single Stableford on Saturday 12th July. Following a sub-zero start where the early players had to contend with frosty greens, the weather turned it on and a beautiful sunny day was enjoyed by all. However fast greens and difficult pin positions caused some mental anguish amongst players including this writer with putts just slipping past the hole to end up off the green. The event was generously sponsored by Reece Plumbing, and we thank them for their sponsorship.

The conditions did suit some players with the winner Todd Beckett sharing the

same stableford score of 37 with 2 other players and winning on a countback from second place getter Phil Mihulka and Karl Braund in third.

Men’s pin shots went to Mark McCosker on 3 and Michael O’Brien on 12. No one managed to claim the pin shot on 17. Approach shots were won by Brendon Barker (1/10), Matt Penn (5/14) and Brad Silver (9/18).

The conditions must have also suited Lisa Stuart who won the ladies stableford with a good score of 34 points followed by Mandy Benussi with a score of 31 points. Ladies pin shots were won by Helen Jones on 12 and Nikki Waterworth on 17. Approach shots were collected by Helen Jones and Filomena Silver on 2/11 and 7/16 respectively.
