A splendid day was on hand for the final round of the Foundation Cup at the Stanthorpe Golf Club. This is a stroke competition played over two weeks. Congratulations to Jack Parker who gets his name on the trophy. Jack had a nett score over the two weeks of 140 and commiserations to Gary Kirby who had the same score but, on a count, back of the last 9 holes came runner up. Well, done to Lisa Stuart who won the Ladies Foundation Cup on 149 nett over the two weeks.

The Day’s Play was sponsored by the President of the SGC, Len Leigh. Thank you, Len, for being the President and the sponsor for the Day. Congratulations to the Winner, Nikki Waterworth and Runner Up was Trish Fittock. Run Down went to Lisa Stuart and Mandy Benussi. Pin shots to Trish Fittock (x2), Sandra Ellis and Nikki Waterworth. For the Men, well done to Jack Parker (again) and Runner Up Kev Rowlings. Run Downs to Chook Hendry, Gary Kirby, Brendon Barker, Barry Jones, Len Leigh and Rino Piovensan. Pin Shots to Barry Jones, Mark Richards, Phil Mihulka (x2) and Riley Surch. Matt Waterworth not only got the 9/18 pin shot – it was an eagle! Sensational golf!
