Trevor Ludlow was the winner of last Saturday’s stableford event but had to wait for the countback with Santo Cavallaro after both players recorded 41 points. Trevor’s back nine of 25 points won the day.

Ladies captain, Annelle Batterham , took the win in the ladies event with 36 points which was one point better than Sandra Morris on 35 (c/b) points for runner up.

Appreciation to Aqua Rural for sponsoring the day.

Pin shots went to Kev Rowling at 3, Matt Waterworth at 12 and Scott Constable at 17. Ladies pin were won by Nikki Waterworth at 3, Racheal Hendry at 12 and Helen Jones at 17. Trevor Ludlow also collected the pro-pin at 1/10, Greg Fraser at 5/14 and Darryl Boekholt at 9/18. The birdies nest at the 8th hole went to Matt Waterworth.

In the run down, a ball to Greg Fraser (40), Keith Jones (39), Angelo Maugeri (39), Ian Pickering (38) and Ian Harvey (38). Kay Webb collected a ball in the ladies run down with 35 points.

The whiskey club have purchased a number of rakes and officially presented them to the bunker volunteers who may now be called ‘Members of the Order of Rakes’. No doubt the bunkers will be in pristine condition for future events.

Next Saturday is the Laurie Newley Memorial golf day, a single stroke event sponsored by the Newley family. In addition, the September monthly medal and putting competition will also be played after the event was cancelled out at the start of the month due to the fires. Tee off from 11.00 am and the time sheet is on the board at the club.
